Charles Memminger, columnist for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, is Hawaii's only national award-winning humor writer. Through a special partnership, his new book, Hey Waiter, There's An Umbrella In My Drink! is being used as a fundraiser for the Kamehameha Lions Club Foundation (a charitable arm of the Kamehameha Lions Club, a community service organization). Read more about the fundraising project here.

Hey Waiter! reveals what's funny about living in Hawaii, and life in general, from Charley's point of view. For example: "Hawaii residents are thrill-seekers when it comes to food -- We like our eggs runny, our hot food cold, our cold food warm, our musubi three days old at room temperature and our takeout Zippy's chili to sit in the back of the refrigerator until it's got a little head of green, fuzzy hair."

Have you read Charley's column ("Honolulu Lite") in the paper? How about his new book? What are some of the funniest books about Hawaii that you've read?
